The Nordsøkaj quay has room for both offshore SOVs and pelagic fishing vessels

The Nordsøkaj quay specialises in maritime services for offshore supply vessels and large fishing vessels. The 400-meter-long quay offers ample space, and the long concrete area parallel to the quay is designed to accommodate heavy crane lifting.

SOVs and fishing vessels can undergo maintenance and repairs here, with sufficient space available to work efficiently without disruption along the quay. The quay is ideal for crew changes and provisioning and can also be used as a layover quay for SOVs and fishing vessels.

There is easy access to supplies along the entire quay, and to ship waste and slop oil disposal. The quay is also located near the city and at the feet of major maritime service companies such as Cosmos Trawl, Egersund and Vest-EL.

The Nordsøkaj quay is a multifunctional quay serving offshore supply vessels, SOVs (Service Operation Vessels), and pelagic fishing vessels. The southernmost 220 meters of the quay with 8.8 m water depth are ISPS-secured for vessels over 500 GT.

Long quay with plenty of space

There is lots of space on the 400-metre-long Nordsøkaj. Barges, offshore supply vessels and pelagic fishing vessels can berth safely here. There is also easy access to maritime services at the quay.

You can operate the power stands at the Port of Thyboron yourself as soon as you have registered as a user. There is power to suit different needs, with capacities of up to 125 amps.

Concrete for heavy lifting and undisrupted work

Nordsøkaj has a strong concrete section on the quay for maritime services and ship repair. Cranes can lift heavy winches and ship engines on board from this area if the fishing vessel needs these changed. There is ample space for work on the concrete area, and the separation from the asphalt road ensures that work can be done without disruption while cars, forklifts and trucks pass by.
