Quay to service fishing for human consumption and transit fishing vessels and provide maritime services
Isværkkaj was renovated in 2020, when the entire Vestre Inderhavn harbour basin was modernised. The water depth was increased to 6 metres, which has increased the port’s capacity for transit fishing vessels. The 167 metre quay with easy access conditions for trucks allows 4-5 extra transit fishing vessels to spend the weekend in Thyboron.
The quay is also widely used by Danish fishing for human consumption vessels, and is suitable for maritime services from the nearby Kynde &Toft A/S and Thyborøn Skibs & Motor A/S shipyards, given the quay’s easy access conditions for cranes.
