- building, rebuilding and repairing fishing boats
Thyborøn Skibs & Motor A/S has built, refurbished and repaired fishing vessels for more than 40 years. We supply a wide range of equipment and accessories to Danish and international fleets. Having acquired Lemvig Skibsreparation ApS (now Lemvig Maskin & Køleteknik ApS) in April 2003, the group now covers a particularly large part of the marine sector.
Both companies are managed from Thyborøn and together employ about 80 people. Our employees are carefully selected for their professional expertise. We employ ship fitters, refrigeration engineers, mechanics, shipbuilders, welders, and aluminium and steel builders.
We build and refurbish ships and install and repair engines and other marine equipment. We work with hydraulics, steel and aluminium. We design and produce drum and winch solutions, gangways and accommodation ladders, gangway ladders, mooring winches and pilot ladder winches. We also have a refrigeration and freezing department.
We supply a wide range of products and solutions to clients and customers onshore in the fish industry, fish auction houses, slaughterhouses, as well as ice, district heating and wastewater treatment plants. In addition to working on ships, our refrigerator and freezing department also works for onshore clients and customers. We service many clients in the commercial fleet, including Mærsk, Torm and Lauritsen, and are also a supplier to offshore wind clients, such as A2SEA, Fred Olsen and DBB. We provide services for Denmark's maritime authorities, e.g. we repair and maintain lifeboats on the North Sea coast.
