Research and development are key
All new models have been tested with flow simulation and then in the North Sea Centre’s test tank to calculate spreading force and resistance in the doors.
The latest new innovation is trawl doors with hatches. These make it possible to change the size of the trawl doors, so the same doors can be used for different types of fishing.
